Haven't been able to blog much this week - had one of those weeks where none of my 'to-do's' were done but I haven't stopped chasing my tail!
We have been looking for a new home as our current home is just too teeny tiny for us - even though we love the location so we went house hunting and have fallen in love with a gorgeous Georgian house in the most picture perfect place. The property is in demand so we have our fingers firmly crossed and are waiting for news. Meanwhile we have viewers on this place and so I am rushing around trying to make it viewing worthy while my boys are running after me with sticky fingers and muddy feet!
The house we've fallen in love with has my dream room - a dressing room!
It also have the most gorgeous garden with a rose arbour and a lovely decked terrace which is where I would put this beautiful parasol from The White Company:
Many people dread Mondays but, as lucky as I am with my beautiful boys and husband, I do secretly enjoy having some quiet time to myself on a Monday after a full-on fun weekend. Time to reflect, research and regain some sanity! Happy Monday everyone!!
My husband is making the most of Father's Day with a lie-in this morning! We will then be having my father-in-law round for Sunday Lunch and will be skype-ing my dad in France to say hi. What are you doing today? Have fun whatever you're up to! x
Gorgeous Powder Blue is the colour I am feeling today - just like an English Summer's sky it is reflective and calming. I especially love these last photos of this breathtaking open plan room with stunningly coloured floor but all of them are perfect for a good book and a snooze...! x
Here are some photos of my parent's new home in the Vienne in France, they have lived out there for nearly six years now but this is their new project. As you can see from the interior picture there is a lot of work to do but once those stone walls are pointed they will look beautiful.
It's also got over an acre of land and a pool so my boys are going to love it.
I can't wait to get out there and help with the pretty things once all the hard work is done he he!
Well it's a typical english summer's day here: it's been tipping it down all day!
So I have been holed up indoors, nibbling on Cadbury's chocolate and finally writing up my second assignment while Jackson has his nap.
I feel saintly now it is completed but I can't wait for the next module - I'm really enjoying getting my brain working - especially at something I love. But now I am stopping for a lovely hot cup of tea before I tackle the laundry - oh what a glamour life I lead! x
....with console tables, as you know and this beautiful one from my favourite Graham & Green is no exception. Ditto for the mirror and the lamp, tres glam.
And then, whilst reading 25 Beautiful Homes magazine, I came across a similar photo with a suggestion in the description to try Quality Furniture 4 U who produce almost identical furniture at pretty much half the price. Being a bargain lover I had a nosey and found matching for all the pieces that I heart!
I'm in love... with this simply stunning malibu home that I stumbled across via the inspiring blog of Velvet & Linen. The view, the lap pool, the dreamy coastal living rooms, the size of the place - I don't know what is most amazing! I also love the attic room that the owner had designed for all her grandchildren - so much fun. It is currently up for sale here - not quite in my price range just yet... besides I'm quite happy in good old blighty in my little house!!!!
