Happy Holidays in the Cotswolds

We stayed in the gorgeous village of Chipping Campden, with it's warmly coloured stone buildings and faded beauty it was a lovely place to be even in the drizzly English weather!

We travelled out most days to explore the area, took the children to Warwick Castle which was great for the them. They watched jousting and Joe even tried his hand at Knights School which was hilarous (photos to follow).

Another day went to another picture perfect village - Broadway - where we did some serious shopping! We could have spent a lot of time (and money) at Cotswold Trading had it not been for two very anti-shopping children but we did manage to come away with a gorgeous glass and silver plate cake stand and dome (which is now taking pride of place on the island in my new kitchen) and a very sweet Cath Kidston digital radio (also for the kitchen)...

We also bought some gorgeous Pip Studio cups and plates. They are too pretty to hide away so I have them on show in our glass cabinet in the kitchen but they are used every day - a cup of tea tastes so much better in a pretty mug!

I'm back! And Happy Monday!

Phew! What a month August has been, all that packing, sorting and cleaning whilst juggling the children on their school holidays, then our week away to the Cotswolds and then moving house the very next day! It's been hectic to say the least! We got back on the internet a few days ago but I must confess I have been very much enjoying catching up with everyone else's blogs before my own!
Over the next few days I will be posting about our exploring of the Cotswolds and also all about our lovely new home...it's good to be back!

Today's Dawn Chorus

All Almost packed and ready to go! The house is nearly completely packed, the suitcase is bulging over and I think I'm going grey... too much going on at one time.
The boys are at home as it is summer holidays which is tricky but they are having a whale of a time taking  large cardboard boxes and bubblewrap and creating a whole world of their own! I don't think they would even notice of I packed their toys and the television up as they haven't even noticed them!
So I may be off radar for a while but will make sure we take lots of photos of the beautiful place we are staying at in the Cotswolds and then of our new home! Exciting!

Sweet Sunday

Laid back Sundays are the best and I could quite easily drift off here...

I really have a thing for bordered bedlinen, so smart, classic and cool. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend x
