Monday Brights - Zara Home Free Shipping This Week!

Zara Home are offering free shipping all week and as I have my eye on a few of their new pieces, I thought it rude not to have another look...

Here are my two faves from Zara Kids:

This gorgeous kiddies bench - how bloomin' chic!

And this fun rug, it's like abstract art! I think it would be gorgeous in a child's room with white walls

And as for the grown ups I've got a real thing for blue and white at the mo - so crisp and fresh and works gorgeously with pinks, greens, you name it...

I definitely have my eye on this tablecloth - very Black & Spiro

And this velvet cushion which comes in a pletherer of colours for only £9.99!

A gorgeous colour combo that reminds me summer will be here one day...

I love their napkins, I think they have the best range in the UK...

And finally this wee ashtray - no-one in our house smokes but they are so pretty and handy for all sorts of things...

That's my round up of favourites! Happy Monday and happy shopping xx

Thankful For Friday + Gorgeous Jewels...

Black Agate Druzy Earrings

Wow we've had one of those weeks this week and I for one am looking forward to the weekend!  As well as some ongoing extended family issues (you can't choose your extended family!)

  • Jackson has been ill with flu and then somehow FELL into a wasp nest in the garden and ended up in hospital!
  • Had the funeral of my best friend's father
  • A tyre blew on my car on the first school run!
All in four days. Luke's also going away for nearly three weeks so we are getting ready for that too, let's hope those three weeks aren't quite as eventful!

To get me back in the swing of things I had a little browse on Etsy (they don't call it retail therapy for nothing!) and came across this unspeakably gorgeous shop that had me like a little girl in a sweet shop. Friedasophie is based San Francisco and specialises in nature based gemstone jewellery.

I literally love everything about each piece, the colours, the textures yum yum yum - I am started my Christmas List NOW! How to choose? What would be your favourite?

The Wanted List

I know chevron has been around blogosphere in all shapes, sizes and guises for, like, ever but here in the UK the simple chevron soft furnishing is the rarest thing. Nowhere to be seen.

It became so serious that I embarked on a DIY pink chevron rug for my dressing room. It came out well after many hours of intensive taping and painting... and then the puppy had an 'accident' on it. No further details are needed I'm sure!

So you can imagine the big cheery grin on my face when I found a black and white chevron rug at Urban Outfitters (£65). It could go literally anywhere in my house so that is numero uno on The Wanted List!

Pretty patterns + monograms = Gorg-e-ous!

I heart these mugs from Anthropologie (£8), only problem is hubby and I have same initials and so do the little sproglings. Well, I have to get one for my mum, one for my sister...

And finally these little friendship bracelets from Chambers & Beau at Notonthehighstreet are so cute, wouldn't they make a lovely present?

What have you got your eye on? xx

Fab Flares

I've been looking for the perfect pair of flared jeans for a while now and my favourites were narrowing down...

I love these beauties - the 'Birkin' from Reiss as worn by Olivia Palermo...

These were another inspiration... the gorgeous EM Bluebells from EmersonMade...

And then Bingo! I spied these 'Jessie' jeans whilst out in sunny (cough cough) Reading at good old Top Shop for £42.

They came home with me then and there and I am pleased to report we are living happily ever after! xx

Pretty Prints...

There is a large piece of blank wall that greets haunts me as I walk through my door.

I am desperately trying to find the right piece for the wall and am tearing my hair out!

We have a mirror on the left hand wall so I would love some abstract artwork full of colour here but my husband doesn't approve of anything I show him!

Does anyone else have design disagreements with their other half? Or do they cave in to your superior knowledge?! Oh to have a husband with no opinions!

These beautiful butterflies from Rockett St George might do the job though - a bit of a feminine touch that my Mr. might not completely turn his nose up at!

Countdown to Christmas...

How is your countdown to Christmas going?

the white company
I'm steadily ploughing through my 'to-do's' after a week of being snowed in and am off today to buy some fabric to cover our footstool in time for Christmas, get some supplies to decorate the staircase...

via strictly simple style
 and choose some more bits and pieces for the boys.

We've changed around the hallway and I've ordered this wooden sign to lighten and freshen the place up a bit (our hallway is very dark, with hardly any natural light), can't wait for it to arrive!

Can you tell it's pay day?! Whatever you are doing today, have fun! x

Bargain Bowls...

If you haven't already seen Keely from Luxe & Lillies fantastic gift guide I urge you to do so, it is full of gorgeousness and included these bowls from Anthropologie.

I've had my eye on them for a while and when I clicked through imagine my glee to find they are half price! And so I am know one happy customer.

At £7.95 each they would make a great present - unfortunately I will be keeping mine all to myself!!

I promise my next post will not be shopping based (as they all seem to be lately!) but I couldn't help but share.

Hello Gorgeous!

Oooh I've just received my latest order from Cox & Cox and it is so full of gorgeousness I had to share!
{I ordered this with the boys names on - perfect for presents to the grandparents and teachers}

I adore their lovely home accessories and their pretty festive decorations...

{this smells exactly like lemon drizzle cake - warm, creamy lemon - perfect puppy smell cover up!)

 but what I love most of all is their imaginative children's presents - especially the stocking fillers. Affordable and imaginative - so refreshing nowadays, especially for boys. And I know my boys (and my numerous nephews...) are going to smile when they receive these...

{Joe will LOVE this - £2.50!}

{Perfect for my 9 year old nephew!}

{Jackson saw me unwrap this and try it out so this nightlight is now not for Christmas..}

{How cute? A whole wooden town for £5, which will go perfectly with his wooden dolls house + train set in his bedroom}
I also got a flip camcorder for Luke - so now I am positively smug about being ever-so slightly organised for once! (It helps that internet shopping is the only talent needed to tick this to-do list item off) x

Hello Gorgeous!

Love India Jane, and love their accessories. So quirky and interesting. A budgie? Yes please. A set of juggling tops? Make it two!

That Christmas fireplace is this year's inspiration in the Chandler household as it is almost exactly the same as our fireplace (currently sans gorgeous arrangement).
